Is it sexist to say that the only thing this lady can do is make sexism worse?
We've got a person here who thinks the best tool for women's liberation are moderating comments, talking about legos, and lying. Her videos are completely fucking awful and probably make you think less of women and feminists. If you took a collection of all the scripts from the videos you'd probably find her most used critique tool is *says something she thinks is outrageous* *pauses* say "Yeah". She was attacked because she is an idiot, sexism is a problem sure but some girl who just repeats everything from a Women's 101 course won't help anyone. There is also documented trickery she did with disabling and re-enabling comments, presumably to funnel negative comments which she chose to not moderate. Everyone was hoping there would be some kind of blow up, hands down it's the best thing for the project. Here's "someone" posting it to 4chan the day the kickstarter went live with a picture which is completely inaccessible via google's reverse image search. It's hard to tell if she directly engineered and invited this harassment but she sure handled and publicized in a way which made the most out of it. The fallacious idea that minority activism can't be a vehicle for hucksters and shitheads is ridiculous is probably the most harmful thing to those movements. People who sit around shouting "Don't you think sexism isn't a problem" or "Do you hate the troops" are the enablers and no better than the last piece of shit they defended. Look at this for example, which again reaches it's high point at the end. You've got Anita basically making up a fan fiction of her own harassment and accusing her 'harassers' of doing the same, she incredulously says "they cast me as the villain" while talking about how she's riding the wave of her internet fame to be flown out to game studios to speak. She is the fucking villain, no minority advocacy trumps being a horrible person. Who knows how she'd make things meet in a different time or economy, but in the modern age she's a 'youtube culture critic'.
