It has been that way for at least five years, but that hasn't stopped anybody. I got the new David Wong book. John Dies At The End was funny, but he would have these endless passages of a fight with demons or whatever that went on and on and on. He did not do that in his new book. He did make a zombie book when he didn't have to. If you try to spin your own take on zombies it comes off dumb because people have a very specific idea of what a zombie should be like. If you are using them as something to compare to your characters myaan, well, most writers can't do that to begin with. Certainly nobody working in television. There are a shitload of other monsters out there. Writers could even try making some of their own! Fuck, a game or book or tv show or movie about <i>ghosts</i> would be a welcome change at this point.
