Things I've learned about using the Robot

My main bitch is the range on the robot guns is way too short.
The "rhythm" of the game seems to be building rage by shooting down fighters, then spending rage shooting the turrets off Capships in Robot mode. (If you use machineguns on shields and plasma on hull, fighters go down about as fast as if they were in Robot gun range) The Rage meter doesn't drain in robot mode unless you're shooting the guns or locking on missile swarms. You have all the time in the world to get into range. Double-tap dashes are your friend and should be used liberally. You can also double-tap dash forward and backward. Reviewers bitching about being a stationary target in Robot mode should be hit over the head with a rolled up newspaper. If you use robot missiles while auto-aim is held down, all the missiles will be aimed at that single target. If auto-aim is not held down you can target the swarm at multiple targets by "sweeping" the reticule ala. Zone of the Enders 2. My main bitch (besides no mouse invert) is the paucity of aiming buttons. Target in reticle and target nearest mission critical. That's it. Not even a radar map.
