Plenty assumed he was doing it to himself, or else Quinn was the culprit because she wasn't pressing charges to avoid legal risk. Things got very Creative Writing 101. A hacker would be tracked down in minutes and every /v/ poster knows this. <img src=http://i.imgur.com/Ssh5VOJ.jpg> Much was made of <a href="http://www.ign.com/blogs/mrgutsman/2014/08/22/zoe-quinns-sex-scandal-fallout">an IGN user's blog post</a> criticizing Quinn and the industry at large because anons mistook it for an official article. I'm linking it here just to see if it gets taken down in the next few days. I can't think of a more sure-fire indicator of hysteria than private blogs disappearing over this misadventure.
