I figured out why I never got into KOF, and its not because of the input windows
To be honest, I'm not 100% sure what input windows are or why I would want them so loose they're falling down around my hands' ankles (my wrists?). It's just something I read on RPS that sounded like a totally legitimate reason to write off a whole big intimidating series I wasn't particularly interested in to begin with because the men in it wear too many clothes. I'm not EVEN kidding, half these SNK guys are dressed to the nines and it's killing my "suspension of disbelief," which is another phrase I read on RPS that I'm 90% sure is a Britishism for "improbable erection." Compare the cast of any KOF to the original World Warriors - Ryu and Ken wore about 70% of a karate gi each, E. Honda wore a towel, Blanka wore the remnants of Bruce Banner's chinos, Dhalsim wore something he obviously made himself, Zangief wore the hell out of a speedo, Balrog wore gym strip that he couldn't wait to get out of, Vega wore dance pants with a jaunty sash, Sagat wore very little shorts over a whole lot of leg... the only fully clothed fighters in SFII were the Chinese girl and the military men, both types well known for their love of pageantry and fancy dress. And here's the kicker: how many of the original twelve World Warriors even wore shoes? Answers on a 3x5 erotic postcard, please.
