This is great, great news. Maybe Ray Lewis can whip out a sharpie and autograph the broken cadaver? But August 20th is just a preseason game, no way anything's happening then.
Probably not, but Lewis is still feeling the sting. At the very least it will buoy his hate to Halloween, for the real fun.
I hope Garcia makes superstars of whatever no-name recievers they have in Cleveland. (I lost track of them after Webster Slaughter.)
He wants to, at the very least. Andre Davis and Quincy Morgan are big targets who rule in the middle, and big targets in intermediate ranges are Garcia's raison d' etre. Further to my point, Garcia called up Dennis Northcutt, who had been pondering jumping ship (he wants to at least be a #2 guy, and the Browns office has never been all that big on him), and asked him to stick around because Garcia is no slouch when it comes to passing around the ball. Nobody wants Northcutt in a larger role than he's potentially got in Cleveland with Jeff under center, anyway. Garcia also rang up their rookie, Winslow I believe, and told his dumb ass to sign on the line that is dotted, so he can maximize his preseason time and maybe push for a #4 slot, who also gets some catches with Garcia throwing it. For that matter, William Green and Lee Suggs had better sharpen up their receiving hands.
