Re: I don't like hucksters in general. He's just the funniest at the moment.
There's no doubt he's profiteering off wedge issues, but other than just being a goof with exceedingly weird dietary habits, I see him as a net positive. There aren't a lot of moderate civ nat voices out there anymore, at least ones that anyone will listen to. I think he means well, earnest even with his odd personality disorder and is trying to ground rage into something other than fist fighting and hurling bottles in the streets. He's a magnet for broken people and encourages them to find a therapeutic (or at least reflective) solution to their misery without shame, typical humanist shit with some kind of dungeons and dragons wrapper. He has forever established himself as a moderate by being a pro-zionist, anti-socialist. Neither the far left or right will touch him because of what he's already positioned. Yeah, he's an oddball making enormous piles of money from his jungian weirdness, youtube/patreon cottage industry and personality profile/self assessment enterprise, but he's a calming influence more than an instigating one (C-16 bill notwithstanding.) If he is going to exploit wedge issues for profit I'm more likely to blissfully ignore the fucker in the middle than any insincere provocateur for either side. Though I am a huge proponent for laughing at people and encourage you to do so if it brings you joy.
