Empire was really good.

Hmmmm yes Star Wars does indeed fall apart when it's not just (psh) Hidden Fortress. That is why no one considers Empire the best one.
The best part was the rebel blockade runner and the fire-bellied princess Sam-and-Dianeing with each other as they escaped the sacking of Atlanta in a wagon with her infuriatingly prissy comedy relief slave. A WAGON!! I also liked Solo, but I think I was the only one here who saw it because the last act was exactly The Magnificent Seven. Solo started out as Oliver Twist (Fagin was something even more monstrous than a Jew: a giant centipede), then it was All Quiet on the Western Front (you might be familiar with the remake of that one, Paul Verhoeven's Starship Troopers), then it was the TV series Firefly, then it was Casablanca meets The Maltese Falcon (though it wasn't quite time yet for Sidney Greenstreet to slime his way into Han's life), then the rest of it sort of blurs together (I think the Nautilus got grabbed by a giant squid at one point?) before they get to the showdown defending the little village on the desert planet. I'm talking about the Star Wars Solo, not the Mario Van Peebles Solo, which was top to bottom the Magnificent Seven except he was all seven because he was a replicant the whole time (not a spoiler, they're up front about it, like Short Circuit). Did anybody else see John Ford's The Lost Patrol? Besides Kurosawa, I mean, before he did Seven Samurai in the first place ^__^
