Emphasise that the money is compensation for time & effort, not a purchase of the data itself -- i.e., the frame is that you're rightfully entitled to the data, and just need them to do some well-paid grunt work. Not to be cynical, but the event was a month ago (yesterday?) and I think the odds of them having it at all are long. Ray![/quote]
