Re: I watched like 15 min of this and all I learned was that the show
I was thinking about all the regenerations we've seen on the show. It would he nice if they had some rules that they follow. The one rule they DID have was a bad one: the 12 regen limit, although it led to some great moments with The Master when he ran out. But there's no use denying that this is an engineered feature of Time Lords so there's no real reason to arbitrarily limit it. There was an episode during the Peter Davison era where an imposter claimed to be the new regeneration of the Doctor, but he was a weird looking alien and his companions were skeptical: his previous regenerations had been human in appearance. But maybe there is sortof a precedent for the goofy return of a previous incarnation: the 2nd Doctor's regeneration. He was forced to regenerate by the Time Lords and at one point was given some options on what he'd like to look like. So that's something they could do. Too bad Galifrey is in some other dimension (that's still a thing right?)
