Dominion is THE most aspie game I can think of besides MTG
You could remove the cards' art and names, leaving only the effect text and lose absolutely nothing. It's even less of a theme than MTG in that regard. It's a math problem. Every live Dominion game I've witnessed with knowing players has been competitive Chess. Everyone staring at the board in silence for 5 minutes, following by (still silent) frantic draws and clock punching. You can do the flurry because Dominion is one of those games that falls into the "multiplayer solitaire" category because there's so little player interaction you might as well be playing separate games comparing score at the end. And you're playing games about moving Hobbits on plastic sheet pony races. Let's not start acting who's too good for nerd shit, Mister Man. Wait I take that back.
Also I saw a screenshot of the Dune boardgame's Gurney Halleck card, and I'd be endlessly triggered by seeing Josh Brolin's miscast face on that character.
You really are a girl. People are trying to help you here. To put it into perspective, recommending Dominion in 2025 is like recommending the original Super Mario Bros in 2025. "Sometimes you have to go back to what birthed the genre!" In a historical scholar sense, sure? But to have fun? When there's over a decade of superior experiences since? "But the faces of the vegetables staring at me in Super Mario 2 make me self conscious about my diet! I want chocolate! ACK!" Here: it's not my cup of tea, but if you genuinely enjoy Dominion then get Wingspan. Similar premise, chicks love it. Race for the Galaxy is also a popular deck engine builder, with actual interaction between players. The symbols can be tricky to learn, but if you can figure out Dominion you can figure out RftG. Avoid Terraforming Mars at all costs. Possibly the most overrated boardgame of last decade. There's no more meat to it than any other Dominion-like, but it adds a ton of bloat, cost, setup time, play time, and a mountain of shitty components to spill around. That other dude is right about the Dune app. Just get it, pussy.
