What Are You Playing Right Now?
::
Okay, well, I guess I AM letting this go, but...
So, in the beginning, there was DOOM. It was pretty good. Then some guy made a roguelike out of it, and called it "DoomRL". It was also good. You can still play it! For free! Although now it's called "DRL" for legally obvious reasons. Then the guy who made DRL made Jupiter Hell, which was DRL but upgraded with awesome graphics and sound. Except it removed a lot of key features (diagonal movement, push-able crates/barrels, explosive blowback, and others) from DRL for reasons which he has explained but which still don't make too much sense to me, but a lot of them had to do with animation. No worries, Jupiter Hell is the greatest game of all time, right? With JHC, he's taking all the awesome parts from JH, and upgrading DRL with them, while adding back the missing features of DRL, since animation is no longer a concern. So really, this is DRL 2. A melange, if you will, of the best parts of both DRL and JH. To dismiss it as a "worse-looking nostalgia-fueled demake" of Jupiter Hell is, well... stupid. The OP is, well... stupid. And I still demand an apology! Okay I changed my mind! I'm not letting this go!!!!
