If this Were the Bible, This Post Would be in Red.

First off, congrads on spelling "lose" correctly, a true rarity on this board.
You are so right about that. !!
Secondly, you're proposing I find some form of entertainment that has no advertising, which doesn't exist. Barring that, I should ignore the ads, though my lizard brain cannot. Finally, I should randomize my purchases, even though I may end up buying inferior products, because to do otherwise would somehow... what? Support advertisers? Support crass advertisers? How does randomization prevent this?
Are you trying to goad me into publishing a manual? 1. Advertising is avoidable with some effort. See Barbie's post, from earlier on, for the lurid technical details. 2. You can't buy everything on its merits, because you don't have infinite time. Hello? 3. Many items, toothbrushes and soap and the like, have a somewhat-stable state-of-the-art and so you can save time by buying randomly, which achieves the same outcome for you, but makes advertising ineffective. By math.
I like your litmus test of "tasteful" ads better, though it's still laughable.
Not a litmus test, but a battle cry. The "Archduke Ferdinand," if you like. Ray!
