Peter Molyneux's The Movies

Oh no I don't want this movie spoiled for me!

I don't remember the comics focusing so much on Dardevil needing rain to really see things super clear. If the movie was all we had to go by, I think Daredevil would be better named Rain Fighter or Waterbeetle or someshit. Also can one reviewer, professional or watercooler, describe this movie as anything but DARK? What's so fucking dark about it? ALL THE CHARACTERS COME BACK TO LIFE in the gayest Disney twist of all time. Also, Matt Murdock listens to some really shitty music in his spare time. I guess despite the heightened sense of hearing, he lacks an even average level of taste. ...As much as I complain, I thought it was a passable comic book movie. This forum should be renamed "Movies 2: The Quickening"
I think it should be a given that there will be spoilerz in this forum. I didn't hate the film, either. Affleck can't act well, but guess what: neither do a whole lot of pretty faces in Hollywood. Y-chromosome-enabled (and worse, comic book fans) going in with a preternatural hatred for him will, of course, hate the film. I went with a female friend, one who is, for all intents and purposes, normal. She liked it. She's no slobbering fangrrl of Affleck either, so I took her opinion of him as a more objective one. I LERV Jennifer Garner, I can look at her pouty dimples all day. And Colin "I just made 20 films over the past year, and they're all coming out NOW" Farrell's Bullseye was the best villian in ANY comic book film, IMO. However, the Kingpin is boring as Hell. He's big. So fucking what? Where's his gadgets, his costume, his origin? I know he doesn't have any of these, that's my point. He's a fat crimelord. That may have flown alright back in Marvel's Golden Age, but after Scorsese and The Sopranos, who gives a shit? Maybe they should have pulled some of the special effects they did with the Hobbits in reverse to make him look HUMONGOUS. I'd rather watch Willem Dafoe chew scenery in his Power Rangers Green Goblin outfit than Micheal Clark Duncan woodenly try to be evil (only George Forman is friendlier than this dude, he just can't do it). Now, I liked the rain thing, it made for a couple of nice shots, but you're right: figuring out that facet to his radar-sense makes it a little overpowering. The filmmakers came up with that one (which fits into his powers, IMO), but it makes the radar sense a little too powerful. He should move to Seattle. Also, he has to sleep in his iso tank in order to drown out the noise. The power of Jennifer Garner's pussy notwithstanding, how did he manage to sleep at her place? The last scene in DD's fight vs. Bullseye was a blatant ripoff of one of the last scenes in Spiderman, of DD/Spidey doing sko flips or whatever to miraculously dodge a bunch of shit coming at him. It pissed me off in DD, after Bullsyes goes the whole film only missing once, and they even made a point of that in the film. Until the end, when he can't hit the broadside of a fucking barn when DD is about 6 feet away from him, and he's doing simple backflips. I can hit a dude doing backflips. And who knew Foggy was such a fucking asshole. Ha ha, mustard in the coffee, hand-wavings in Matt's face, I know I'd be pulling those gags on my friend/business partner all the time. Never gets old, that. BDR
OH NO I READ THIS ANYWAY AND IT WAS SPOILED FOR ME
