Re: Yes you do!

I've got interest if that counts enough for anything.
There's currently two places (that I know of) that you can go to get the low down on what went down the previous week in the NFL -- there's Peter King's column on Monday, and then Greg Easterbrook's on Tuesday. The analysis is fine. But Christ -- King has completely emasculated himself with his endless, pointless droning about his brood's JV pep squad team or whatever the fuck it is, and while Easterbrook normally keeps his SUV hate out of his column, there are still portions of it (like his shredding of Enterprise) which have nothing to do with football. I maintain that there's an actual niche for a column -- written by the bunch of fags currently present -- that goes over the games, gives shit to the stubborn fucks in the NFL that so richly deserve it, and at least attempts to actually stay on topic. This being a video game site, saying something like "Pittman hit the hole like a scared, skittish, flailing little bitch -- like he was an acne-enveloped fifteen year old sweating his way through DDR for the first time, blah blah" is fine, but all of a sudden going on a seven fucking paragraph review of EA Sports Girl's Field Hockey 2003 (and King has taken at least seven paragraphs before) would be out of place. So maybe the bunch of us sending our takes to Clownshoes, EiC or whoever after the games, and having them be merged into an article (or, more likely, there's a BDR section, an ICJ section, a Whydirt section, etc.) and being placed up on the site each Wednesday would work. Additionally, everybody who hits football forums on the net is crazy (good crazy, not irritating crazy like that dopey GameFaq shit running loose on Rygar right now, counting down each of the 14 seconds before he can post again) and not shy about expressing their opinion. So by throwing a few links about there's that.
I still want to do football if the interest is there. They were fun to write and I guess people think they're funny, but guess what? NOBODY I KNOW HAS BEEN TOLD ABOUT THIS SITE. Hey, that's my bad, nobody forced me to write that stuff, and I know it. But that doesn't mean I can't sympathize with Zseni.
They are funny. Also, I plan on doing a mock draft when the draft gets closer. I did one last year, but the concept could be expanded to talk more about what each team needs and more about how most teams in the draft completely cock-up their picks. Plus, every additional page that's added to the Internet as a whole that points out that John Butler -- who weighs 600lbs -- only takes cornerbacks in the first round of the draft -- who usually weigh less than 199 -- does so in some sort of psycho, schizosomatic attempt to lose the crippling amount of weight he carries through proxy means just makes the net that much stronger. the dark and gritty...Ice Cream Jonsey!
