The B1 has become a massive glorified strike fighter, while the B52 is the greatest strategic bomber that ever was.[/quote] Coolest thing about the B1: They tested a parabolic bombing method where, to deliver a nuke, the craft would release the bomb mid-Immelman. It turned out to be doable, but too taxing on the airframe. It must have been amazing for the pilot to do that in such a large aircraft. -/ES/-[/quote]
