Re: NOTHING! And on that note...
1. Guilty Gear X2: best fighting game, ever. You get that Street Fighter feel, plus you can use analog sticks instead of the fucking D pad. 2. Zone of the Enders 2: The 2nd Runner. The only mech game I have ever enjoyed, coupled with what are by far the best PS2 graphics in that genre (industrial/high tech). And for once in recent history, Kojima doesn't wipe his ass with the gameplay to adjust his concept of "plot". Some of the secondary weapons, from the basic throw to the last one, the Anubis bum rush, are highly enjoyable, and if you get a kick out of obliterating hordes of enemies, you'll like this. Plus the integration of anime with digital graphics works pretty well, and the dialogue is only somewhat poorly voiced. 3. Ratchet & Clank: One of the most satisfying platformers I have played in a long while, massive in scope, graphically impressive, with virtually no camera issues and none of the frustratingly easy/short bullshit of the runner up, Sly Cooper. I liked the puzzles, I liked the focus on weapons and variation within them. I would recommend an RPG instead of choice 2, but unfortunately all of the ones I have played for PS2 have involved massive tradeoffs for whatever quality they bring to the table. So far, I like Shadow Hearts as the most ignored rpg horror/fantasy title which has a lot of good shit to offer (at least for the 6 hours of gameplay I have put into it), although I sense it could get repetitive later on. Arguably, some PS1 titles are more enjoyable, but those are so cheap they hardly fit into the formula and can be purchased with abandon.
