Actually no, that's not the fastest way to earn faction points - or money

Oh, btw - 200 faction points to join the empire. Yeah, and 5,000 for the stormtrooper chest plate, 3,000 for the helmet and legs each seperately, and 2,000 for the utility belt, gloves, boots, left bracer, right bracer, left bicep, and right bicep EACH SEPERATELY. Jesus God the people I see running around in almost-complete stormtrooper outfits already SCARE me.
So what you're saying is all the stormtroopers in the movies worked for months doing odd jobs for the Emperor to save up the scratch to buy a full suit of armor... only to fall down after one zap to the chest from Han Solo? Shit.
BUT for a complete newbie it's hella fast. I gather that players who get themselves fairly high-level quickly in terms of killing (hint: go rifle, anything that can hurt you a lot by definition isn't too big on mental prowess, and rifle weapons attack mental stat more than anything) can run higher-level destroy missions, etc., for the empire which result in them getting faction XP more quickly over time. I do know that even after about 8-10 hours of gaming, though, a newbie running delivery missions will still edge his military-inclined counterpart in terms of raw cash, but that doesn't last forever. Cash just isn't that huge in the game compared to some others where it's really the only stat - nice that. If you're going Reb or Empire, though, faction is definitely the 'only' stat. --SB
