I bought a Star Wars toy
So I'm at Burger King and see they've got super deformed Star Wars figures. The poster says they come with a kids meal combo. After I order my value combo (plus one extra Whopper Junior) I ask if you can buy the figures without a combo, because I simply need a tiny plush SD Jawa. "Actually you get to pick 2 toys with your combo." "Whoa, I got a kids combo?" "No, it's for the value combo too." "SCORE, BIATCH!" One line of that dialog is fake. So she shows me the selection of the only four toys they have left -- but one is the plushie Jawa, THANK THE MAKER, so that's a no-brainer. Next I pick the plastic Emperor, because who needs a plastic Obi Wan or plastic Jar Jar? This leads to her NOT KNOWING WHICH ONE IS THE EMPEROR, so I simplify it down to "guy in the cloak". It must be horrible being a girl, not knowing basic things like who is the fucking Emperor. Toys secured, she goes back to the till and adds $1.99 + tax to my bill. Now $1.99 sounds like not a lot of money, but I feel tricked as her response to my question should've been "you get to pick and then pay for 2 toys with your combo" and secondly, grabbing two free Star Wars toys with my lunch is acceptable, but actually having to pay for them suddenly made me feel like a huge homo. Don't worry though, I kept cool and she didn't suspect a thing. For all she knows I've got a young nephew or autism. Back at the office I crack the Jawa out of his package. Holy shit, his goddamn yellow eyes light up when you squeeze him! I would easily pay $5 for this adorable item! And it turns out the Emperor squirts water.
