Jesus christ what the fuck. Spoilers!
Zombies just want to go somewhere, be someone, have martinis with INC? What a completely good-hearted zombie movie. The zombie combat scenes were awesome, but there was a horrible lack of the meanness and roaring misanthropy that made the Dawn remake so awesome. Not a single one of the heroes died either! They ride into the night in their super-zombie-slaughter bus, shooting fireworks! Retard-man, I expected you to die! Didn't really like the way the postapocalyptic setting was handled. It ruins the "everything safe is now dangerous" trick in most zombie films, and it didn't really seem as if they had the cash to make the scope stick. Everyone was kind of bumbling around in a set that was a size too small for them. So yeah, what saves the movie is the constant limb-tearing and headshots. It's mostly handled by third parties, but that's okay. Soldier-man getting blown in two by stumbling onto his own grenade does it for me. In the end; action scenes; awesome. Backdrop: weird, cheap, and awkward. But the biggest problem with LOTD is that it never manages to be quite mean enough.
