The whole opening space battle of Ep.3 was technically fabulous (except for stupid droid comic relief), but it lacked <i>meaning</i>. The movie only gained these things once the Emperor gave the order. Suddenly it was justice vs the evil empire again. Everything was at stake. Things mattered. Plus John Williams finally pulled himself up out of the slump he'd been in (Duel of the Fates being the sole exception) to highlight the third act with some wonderful scores. For a brief shining moment I actually got caught up in a Star Wars movie since Return of the Jedi, despite Lucas's attempts to ruin it with his dialog. I can only imagine how good this would have been had he gotten someone else to write it.[/quote]
