Episode 5: I'm done.
Well there was the worst episode yet, capping my escalating frustration and boredom with the show. Remember when the show was about survivors being stranded on a dangerous island where a giant thing crushed trees and ate pilots, and a polar bear was running around and there were haunted SOS broadcasts? I can barely remember, and the writers totally forgot it seems. The writers didn't forget the clichés though! The reluctant-leader-afraid-of-failure arc is totally intruiging me! Will he save someone next week?! I CAN HARDLY WAIT. Anyway, the island is clearly some limbo-like magical place where everyone can confront their demons or tie up loose ends in their lives. Maybe it's heaven. Either way, they're probably all actually dead. This bullshit is very close to being "all just a dream". While that in itself is a huge let down, it could still be pulled off if you have Twilight Zone calibre writers on the case. Instead, I wonder if the LOST scripts are printed on reinforced iron tablets -- BECAUSE THE DIALOG SURE IS LEADEN.
