My point is that I don't care what's Safe Edgy or not.

Hipster music for casual perusers. It's no coincidence that Roots Manuva's most interesting track was a collab with BT, the Dark Prince of dilettantism. ..... P.P.S. I can't write about music any more because all my favorite music has been featured on Hummer commercials. I can't show my face in public since Madison Avenue suits raided my record collection.
Right, but giving no shit whatsoever as to what is Safe Edgy or not just leaves you with.... things you enjoy and like to share. Like this Roots Manuva album, which I enjoyed, and liked sharing with various people. Roots and Spank Rock are very hipstertastic right now. I heard about both of them through variously hip avenues myself! But now they have left the hipster domain and entered the Albums Zseni Likes domain. Why does it matter where they came from or who likes them? Very very intelligent, beautiful, and cool people like albums I can't stand. Very very dorky, boring, and stupid people like albums I like. Liking good and interesting music doesn't make you a good or interesting person, just like liking bad or boring music doesn't make you a bad or boring person. Correlation is not causation. It only helps you identify trends. Moreover music does not occupy the same place in everyone's world; comparing two kinds of musical taste isn't like comparing apples and oranges so much as it is like comparing apples to binary stars. Why are you bothering? Meanwhile, you're letting pricks in expensive suits determine what you can and can't listen to. Who hustled you into the idea of protecting your brand in the first place?
