Re: 25 hours + in

I like this too, but there's times where you'll be cruising through with no difficulty and suddenly get your rear handed to you (Spiders and Gels in the Prison and Volcanoes in the mine spring to mind).
Volcanoes and the other giants in that area were less of a problem once I embraced that Illusion Sword LVL 2 and its counterparts in the other two characters were absolutely necessary right at the start, in the hope that you can kill most of them before they light you on fire. Narrow hallways can ruin that with any large enemy, but that was manageable. The Shell Knights, OTOH, were a hopeless pain in the ass. Once I got the 30 or so I needed for the hunt, I just ran from them whenever they appeared unless the mixed group included something I needed. Embracing "flee" is the foundation of tactical soundness in this game, to be sure. If there is a way other than charged attacks to deal with shield enemies, I am definitely open to suggestion...your sidekicks can handle jumping on enemies when needed, but the charged attack is definitely beyond them 90% of the time.
But yeah, everything said here is right, you can spot the gay from miles away and it's easily skippable. Thumbs up on that one.
I will say that the more they fleshed out the Dog-elfwoman-elf love triangle, the more I enjoyed the cutscenes. Between that and the macho queer pirate talk that crops up every now and then, this game is a veritable Freudian nightmare. RG thought of the day: Bestiality is totally cool when it's an alien.
