Forum Overview :: NFL2K5 :: Am I the only person who thinks Vick is overrated?
The guy is awesome, no question. But the blowjobs he gets from people, particulary in the press, are just amazing. Here's Mike Shannahan: "I don't think there's another athlete like him that's ever played the game." That's pretty subdued compared to what the sports writers say. For them, there's no question he's "the most gifted player ever at his position" (Denver Post). Really? There have been an awful lot of really tallented guys who've played QB in the NFL. I have to admit I'm also a teensy bit jealous that the HOF QB that everyone talks about before and after the game is no longer our QB. :( But I don't think I'm being unfair to Vick to say that I don't think he's obviously better than Montana or Elway, to pick two names completely at random. Watching Champ Bailey struggle to catch up to him was pretty fucking impressive, though. The dude is FAST.
