I've never seen the Jap version, but in my experience the Jap versions are never actually superior to the American remakes. I watched the special features and I think that the Visual FX team did a great job of not mentioning Chris Cunningham on-camera, which I assume must have been a direction from the film's legal team. SPOILER: <font color="black">So, at the end, the army is creating safe zones in wireless dead spots. I have a great idea for the genius strategists of the Pulse-world Armed Forces: <i>if you turn off the power everywhere, those dead spots would get a lot bigger</i>.</font>[/quote]
