And Hum should also be renamed "The Band That Does Train to Mars"

I decided to give listening to music another chance (AGAIN). Here's what annoyed me this time: 1. Obscure Song Names I know this isn't new, but it seems to be cropping up more and more. I sometimes think it's to try and stymie filesharing, since if no one knows what your stupid song is called, they can't search for it and instead have to buy the whole album and hope it's one of those songs. But truthfully, it's been going on a lot longer than that. A month or so ago, I was once again asking FSBT who sang 'that Mars song." He knew right away what I was talking about, "Stars." Okay, they say "stars" in the chorus to the song, but not as much as they say "Mars," and let's face it there are about a billion songs about stars and like three about Mars. So go for "Mars."
INC: haha remember that awesome mars song? INC: She thinks she missed the train to mars, she's out back counting stars Sanitario666: yeah, Cadillac commercials INC: okay, so that subject is done Sanitario666: I was disgusted originally, but I feel happy for Hum to get the money. Sanitario666: Howard Stern said they were dicks though. So I'm conflicted. INC: really? I thought he loved them INC: he played the song nonstop for like a year Sanitario666: yeah he loved that song Sanitario666: But then they came in and were dicks, to his great disappointment Sanitario666: They didn't want to play THAT song, and they wanted to set up all their giant amp stacks, and were told they couldn't, so they threw a shit fit. INC: haha INC: everything went wrong Sanitario666: I kinda sympathize, since I'm sure their guitar sound has a lot to do with their gear and volume. Sanitario666: So having Baba Boey tell you to use the radio station's Fender Twinverb at a reasonable volume isn't a good compromise. INC: yeah, of course INC: but it's funny also because it's just one more disappointment for Howard INC: I think it's the band name I've forgotten more times than any other band name ever Sanitario666: I bought You'd Prefer An Astronaut. I even bought their next album! And liked it! INC: I must have called [INC longtime pal] like 8 billion times INC: "What's that band that does the Mars song?" Sanitario666: Yeah, and that song is called Stars INC: ohh Sanitario666: At least Weezer had the decency to subtitle "Undone" (The Sweater Song) for all the INCs INC: yeah INC: don't be dicks
The second one is "Air Traffic Control," (woohoo!) by Louis XIV.
They wanted to call this song "We're in the Early Radiohead Part of Our Career Now (Take Us Seriously, We Have a String Section and TWO Different Eras of Piano)" but it violated INC naming conventions.
