Mischief Maker's Maker's Mark

ALSO. Some games I would have listed.
Just a few though, because most of the indie games I know were linked from Caltrops or Old Man Murray, and maybe half of those were linked by Mischief Maker! GROW Given its extremely simple controls, this little puzzle possesses an amazing amount of depth and charm. For at least a few minutes, it's clever, challenging, and engaging. Pontifex I like physics-based construction games! Sometimes. Anyway this one is old but good. Unless they made sequels in the meantime which I think maybe they did. Cellblock Squadrons No wonder Mischief Maker wouldn't have included this one, if he is so into Freespace 2! This is like the kindergartener's version of Freespace 2. It is all candy and lasers and pretty space stuff and goofy writing done by English-speaking Scandinavians. And a mission takes like fifteen minutes. That is all I want out of a space sim! Bang! Howdy Like an RTS, but with all the flab sliced off and a bit of chaos added to make it more accessible to casual players. If you like the RTS mechanic, but think strategy is for suckers--that is, if you enjoy and are good at Power Stone 2--then try this one. It's free! Sort of. Armadillo Run Wow, the only previous reference to this game on Caltrops seems to be a year-old dismissal by Ray of Light! That strikes me as odd, since it is awesome. You have to enjoy building things though. And physics. If you buy this game then search for "Rube Goldberg" amongst the player-made stages on the website. Seiklus Some kind of old Metroid-ish game made in Game Maker, without any fighting. The star here is the world--it's a simple, fairly short game, but it brings a cool feeling of exploration and atmosphere. Desktop Tower Defense Yeah Immortal Defense utterly trumps it. Yeah, it's a weird, ugly fluke. But still this is a good and fun game! Super Columbine Massacre RPG! Haha I can't imagine many people from Caltrops actually enjoying this one! But I found it pretty interesting. I mean it's crappy in various ways, and it was tedious, but it surprised me. Games don't usually surprise me. And I liked reading on the game's site about how it really is intended as a work of art. You don't see that very often. I don't especially care whether it succeeds as art or whatever, and I think it didn't help me understand the Columbine massacre any better. But still it made a more memorable experience than most games do. Also all those games Mischief Maker listed, except for the ones I don't like.
