"Aggressively mediocre"
[quote name="Hans Clastorp"]is my two-word summary of this game. As a straight-up shooter it's pretty good, I got probably 15 or so hours of enjoyment basically just wandering around in the scenery, collecting UNLOX. That's basically the only reward you get in the game. 38/57 Guard Posts Scouted! 235/4000 worthless Diamond Briefcase found! That's all you get. There really is nothing interesting or fun or unique to discover except the scenery. Don't let the "open world" fool you, this is not in any way an RPG. It's really nothing like Daggerfall, I don't know why anyone would think so. It's a game about blowing up jeeps with grenades, in Africa. Can you get down with that? If you can, it's pretty fun. Everything about the game that isn't that is super shoddy though. Some things that might be deal breakers for people more particular than me: - You can only have one Quest at a time. So instead of collecting a bunch of things to do and then getting to them when you're in the neighbourhood, you're constantly going back and forth to a couple hubs. - The animation of guys getting out of jeeps, which you see a million times during the game at every single encounter, is choppy and gay as fuck, and they stand there frozen for a second or two waiting to get their heads blown off. - White Liberal Guilt I haven't played the multiplayer, so maybe that's fun, but I kind of doubt it.
