The point of those scenes is to show how he's warped into a murderer - he thinks he's justified in killing his mother's captors, and doesn't Sideous tell him that the Jedi Council will let Dooku off with a slap on the wrist or some shit like that, so he's got to chop off his head NOW? (DO IT!) The movie is showing pretty clearly that he's heading down the dark side path even though he's convinced himself and others that he's still good. He even gets more sweaty and sullen as he gets more irredeemably evil, in case you're really thickheaded.[/quote] Um, if he wasn't a good guy after his first killing spree, then why is queen Plow-Me completely unfazed after he admits he's just killed women and children scant hours before? Why is her response, "To. be. angry. is. to. be. human."? The film hasn't set her up as evil or insane. But you needn't answer. The real answer is that everyone in the film, Jedi or otherwise, is written to be a goddamn idiot in order to set them up like bowling pins for the Emperor's blatantly obvious Lucas-penned conspiracy to bowl over them.[/quote] That's a lot more plausible than Lucas being OK with his "good guys" executing helpless prisoners and mass-murdering sand people.
