Watchmen: The End is Nigh
::
Wow, the spoilers!

Goode played Charles Ryder in last year’s “Brideshead Revisited,” and I fear that, even as Ozymandias murders millions from his Antarctic lair, which he does at the climax of “Watchmen,” Goode’s floppy blond locks and swallowed consonants remain those of a young gadabout who might, at worst, twist the leg off his Teddy bear.
Couched in the faggiest sentence ever written is the twist and end of the movie.
I felt sorry for Crudup, a thoughtful actor forced to spout gibberish about the meaning of time and, much worse, to have that lovely shy smile of his wiped by special effects.
What kind of animals would want to see this instead of Billy Crudup's lovely shy smile?
nobody over twenty-five could take any joy from the savagery that is fleshed out onscreen
Oh yeah, THOSE animals. PS: I totally expect the Watchmen movie to be tiring and convoluted because the comics were tiring and convoluted once you get past the mind-blowing concept of superheros having flaws like impotence. :O
