Re: What happened to the creature and its family? by Ice Cream Jonsey 05/31/2009, 2:21pm PDT
The raccoon was in fact a female - a mother - as I was told that "the babies" were hanging around in there by the guy from critter control. All of my neighbors (this had been going on for a month) spoke of increasingly-sociopathic methods that THEY would use to exterminate the species as a whole, if it were their house. It went from BB gun to rifle to pistol to Tommy machine gun to calling the association (backsliding!) and then resuming to using weapons more readily found as second-gen G.I. Joe accessories: bazooka, torpedo, the USS Flagg.

I never saw the babies, and I never saw anybody leave, so the Raccoon Guy could have been bullshitting me.

I must assume that the family moved elsewhere. They probably took up residence a few doors down, where they will provide the same problem for one of my neighbors. I will be purchasing girl scout cookies and participating in other fundraisers for the rest of the spring and summer to make up for this deficit in karma.
