Yeah, just having O:A and Point Lookout, they may have expanded the level cap anyway. I think I am at level 20 going on 21, and I don't have Broken Steel. I wish I'd known that. I'm profoundly uninterested in getting through any more of the main plot (again) to get to the BS content, so that was a waste of money.
I did object that they gave me the unkillable NPC without telling me beforehand that he'd be along, and who was essentially an infantryman. And I objected that they took my gear. My plan was to BE the sniper, but also carry the gauss rifle, and then run with a robot, an infantryman and a grenadier. None of that worked! Well, I mean, it worked, I killed like a hundred Chinese people, murdering them in cold blood (HEH) but it didn't work according to my idea of tactics. But then again, I'm not very good at tactics or video games, so I guess the U. S. of A. got lucky there.
If your speech is good, you can persuade the quartermaster to give you a Gauss gun. FAT LOT OF GOOD THAT DOES YOU NOW.
Anyway, I don't remember what they are charging for Point Lookout, but it's fun, it may possibly also contain the level expander, and has a tamed ghoul in it fairly early. Whoever is doing the voice acting for those is the best guy in the bunch, I can't get enough of that guy.
Well, it's definitely not Anchorage. Could it have been a product of the 1.6 update? Who knows. |
