The robot's eyes turn back to blue, turn back to red, gets hit by a car, back to blue?
This is literally fan fiction quality without even a solid idea of what it's based off of. Everyone secretly believes that they're creative. A lot of people have some sort of story/script idea floating around in their heads that they think is brilliant. Every kid thinks they have the best idea for a video game ever.
Like a dream though, what seems to be an awesome idea turns to complete shit when you actually sit down to write it. Kids realize it takes more than drawing doodles of enemies to make a game. Adults realize they have to actually flesh out their ideas to a complete story. Everyone realizes that a couple half scenes was all they had bouncing around their heads, and those half scenes turn out to be massive cliches they got from somewhere else and subliminally co-opted.
And that's what this and every other "series" piece of garbage they've done. Some half-idea that they can't turn into a full story and the idea was an incoherent cliched ripoff to begin with. Sometimes they seem to recognize this so they nervously throw in some hint that it's all tongue in cheek with an awful joke like a cardboard tube or boy scouts, but no they honestly believe they're making some sort of beautiful samurai manga or fantasy novel or Noir/Bladerunner/Alien Nation homage with all the "smart" dialog they remember from detective shows or Lethal Weapon.
