Looks nice. Here's what I hate.
1) Install is still stupid. Just like Vista, it lets you sit for 5 minutes looking at their pretty wallpaper and a mouse cursor. No "please wait", no hour glass, no spinning hoop thingy, nothing. Just sit there and wonder if it's doing anything at all, or if it's already broken. Let's get this off on the right foot from the very beginning.
2) How bad is Windows Media Player 12? There's already instructions for fucking removing it. And you need those instructions if, like me, you foolishly think you can maybe uninstall 12, or install 11 over it. Nope, Microsoft's installers all check versions and just tell you to climb a tree if they don't like what you're planning. I "turned off" -- fucking "turned off". Apparently now, instead of installing or uninstalling windows components, you turn them on or off. Okay! I "turned off" media player but that's like removing all the code for handling anything remotely like that. So the Media Player 11 install died with a nonsensical "this isn't an MS DOS program!" error.
3) If you put the status bar/application bar/whatever on the left or right instead of on the bottom, windows STILL APPEAR BEHIND IT. 11+ years and nobody at Microsoft has figured out how to tell where the usable desktop area is. Can't be done! Cannot fucking be done. Clearly.
