What if there was a game that was setup like this:
- Each player risks a file on their system, browsed for beforehand.
- The files are assigned different values/worth based on some set of criteria. Where something in the Recycling Bin is worth less than a 1KB text file out of it, which is worth less than an MP3, which is worth less than an .exe for a game.
- Maybe a best of three thing? And the winner of the initial match gets to pick the music that both people hear for rounds 2 and 3?
Thinking of the actual game as being an Archon variant. Maybe the entire game's board is represented by various files on a person's computer?
What if you can pick the files your opponent would be risking? Bypass the AI trying to determine what is a "valuable" file and what isn't, and let your opponent do that for you.
(The negative of the Archon model is that the combat isn't that great - missile-wielding opponents will always have a severe advantage over close-combat ones)
What if the game worked by people connecting to a server, and could therefore see matches as they went on? And they could wager real money through some Paypal equivalent on the outcomes?
(I don't know, for the last couple of days, what I thought Lose/Lose was and could be fascinated me.)
