In a single turn, I have found three major fucking flaws with the current state of Empire Total War
1. Capitals of major factions now have an absurd amount of unrest when captured. Have fun garrisoning an entire army in Vienna for 16 turns after you capture it (with important structures being destroyed every 2nd turn, and rebel armies popping up every 3rd)
2. Retreating armies often go deep into your territory. I just kicked an army's ass hard, and then had them waltz into the unoccupied regional capital next door, which happened to be Warsaw...AND GUESS WHAT?!
3. If the original faction that possesses a faction capital captures it again, EVEN FOR ONE TURN, no matter HOW LONG you've previously possessed that city and been clamping down on the unrest, you're back to square one.
Whoever is in charge of coding rebellion/unrest in Total War games needs to be fucking fired. Because he can't code a single game without fucking it up. I'm having flashbacks of Rome Total War when I had to slaughter an entire village every three turns, while an army THREE TIMES my size would spawn as a rebel army, eventually making the game unplayable if you got too big an empire. |
