Rumsfeld also said Thursday he may skip a security conference in Germany next week because of a lawsuit filed there by a New York-based group accusing him of war crimes involving Iraqi prison abuses.
The lawsuit was filed in Germany because its laws allow for the prosecution of war crimes across national boundaries.
...allows for the prosecution of war crimes across national boundaries, which is great, but then the person can just not go to Germany and avoid the whole mess, apparently, which really doesn't make it very threatening lawsuit. |
