You say this...why?by Cannibal Dave 02/06/2010, 9:40am PST
Bioware has a proven track record of using other people's intellectual property to create a game such i.e. Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights, Knights of the Old Republic, MDK2 and this has proven financially successful enough for a sequel or three.
Really they've been making the same game since Knights of the Old Republic, only now in Bioware is learning to steal their IP from the public domain which I assume costs less then a pesky ™. Hence you've got Bioware does CHINA Jade Empire or Bioware does KOTOR 3 err Sci-Fi...er Mass Effect.
Most recently they retread Baldur's Gate fantasy in this tried and true fashion ala Dragon Age.
Though this doesn't make their bad games, merely extremely derivative of their early attempts and Mass Effect 2 has enough interesting changes to get my Mass Erect*, if you know what I mean.
I get their games fully knowing this. Did you expect anything else?
