Goddamnit by Lizard_King 02/20/2005, 11:59am PST Ok, so I installed the new card, and testing it, it has the exact same problem as the old ethernet card. That is, when I try to repair the connection, it says "failed to renew IP address". In ipconfig the ip remains 169.xxx and does not release when I do ipconfig/release. So, I am guessing the tech guy was full of shit, and the ethernet card is fine, there is just some configuration thing fucked up?
