When the witch hunter Redferne, clad in furs and wielding his signature whip, ascended that flight of stairs and killed a bat with a thrown dagger, I could tell somebody was getting ripped off big time. Now I just want to know who (aside from Harlan Ellison, of course, whose Outer Limits episode "Soldier" was the obvious inspiration for Warlock's "two warriors unstuck in time continue their battle in 1988" plot). (If you haven't seen Warlock, it's about the age old struggle between mullet and pony tail, and it's totally awesome. Typical one-liner: "Try salt water, fuckbrain!") |
