Plus, if you're using a couple of Fwonk artists on the soundtrack, I'm sure that between Fwonk's marketing machine and Caltrops's marketing machine you could generate tens - if not dozens - of pageviews for Cryptozookeeper.
But seriously, the Fwonk dude ("Heskin Radiophonic" on the internet) would, I'm sure, be happy to cross promote the thing as a CC work involving Fwonk music.
P.S. as you mentioned, once we put something out as a CC-licensed track, you really do have permission to do whatever you want inside the terms of the CC license. In our case, you can use our music for whatever you want as long as you release the derivative work under CC and attribute the music to us. You could put our whole albums on there guilt free and we would be happy that you did.
I think that would really be great.
I had the first run-through transcript sent to me by a guy who got past the first half of the game. That was kind of cool. Although, Christ, after four and a half years, you'd hope that much would be functional. I took some time off around Thanksgiving to hopefully fix the remaining bugs in the second half. This is all leading to a 2010 release, I hope.
The music really has been fantastic, and I think about a quarter of it has come from Fwonk. I didn't take "Fwonk 50" literally. There ARE 50 Fwonk packs. I hope to get through all of them before finishing the game. There's three hours and fifteen minutes of music right now. I think six hours would be ideal, to stop the same tracks from playing all the time. God, Fwonk is such a kick-ass endeavor.
