1. A lot of the IG's gimmick seems to be fast and mobile punch-packing vehicles and infiltrating infantry. This is fucking stupid.
2. The Manticore's rocket launch is fun to play with, and I could easily see one player in a 3v3 match just going full Manticore for maximum rocket barrage. The cooldown is reasonably timed and it comes with an MG to protect itself. Only gripe is that the max range isn't the real max range. The launch-to-hit ratio seems to be unpredictable. The Manticore will waste valuable missile-launching time driving into position, too. Also Manticore missiles won't harm bases. BOO!
3. Stormtroopers blow. One of their upgrades boosts the range on their Lasguns but makes them take more damage. The next is an Infltration upgrade. And the final one is anti-vehicle Meltas. Woo.
4. In fact, anti-vehicle is the one thing that IG really doesn't lack for.
5. On the other hand, anti-melee really is the one thing they lack for, aside from tier-2 Ogryn.
6. The Inquisitor is misnamed, should have been called the support class while the Lord Commissar should be the offense class, as he kicks way more ass while the Inquisitor has great global and unit abilities.
7. Other than a glorified scout squad, I don't really see what use the Catachan Jungle Fighters are.
8. The baseline Imperial Guard infantry unit is flat out terrible.
9. Why the FUCK would I spend 5 population cap on a bunker?
To recap: Great vehicles, shit infantry (though their entrenched heavy weapons have insane range), great global powers.
