| Basically, the single-player mode begins taking itself seriously about halfway in. For all the shit they give Modern Warfare in the marketing, the game turns DEAD SERIOUS about halfway through and gives you actual objectives to accomplish instead of causing mayhem. Combine this with a cliffhanger ending and a "Hey Grayson if we tech the tech we might be able to escape the planet!" ending, it was a chore just to finish this shit. The game's not very hard, your weapons are insanely powerful and the only thing that gives you pause is ammo consumption, but then again in the later half of the game they also start dumping shitloads of ammo crates around. I had 28000 excess points at the end that I didn't get to spend on weapon upgrades.
Haven't tried the multiplayer horde mode, hoping it's great and makes up for a lackluster single player. |
