You can have a billion different variables in the combat simulation, but only display ones that the player can change. Can you tell your mongolian death worm to Aim Carefully (increasing chance to hit) instead of Spit Venom (doing more damage)? If not, all you need to show is chance to win.
Information that doesn't influence player action is useless information. |
