Or, do you mean like knowing about programming shows the puppetmaster pulling the strings behind Tommy Vercetti? Still, no, it's fun to try to figure out how the programmers achieved xyz effect in the game.
I don't know if I talked about this here, but earlier this year I wrote the guys who made The Punisher for DOS in 1989 to ask how they got the entire top-down map of fucking Manhattan including hundreds of buildings and landmarks with zero loading screens into a 50KB file. That sort of stuff is fun to think about for certain people.
It sucks to get beat by some jackass because he has a spreadsheet telling him the optimal DPS, though. |
