| My laptop is getting seriously glitchy, but could potentially have a couple months left in her.
I recall when I got the laptop from Dell it had a bum optical drive (replaced by another bum optical drive that had to be replaced) and the idiot DHL delivery men made a variety of three-stooges-esque bumbling mistakes from simply dropping the package off without rgetting a signature or even ringing the doorbell in the summer heat, to leaving it on the next-door neighbor's doorstep. My plan is to buy this new machine from newegg and Dell (monitor), but there's no reason to expect delivery service is any better today than it was 5 years ago. Just for a stupid hypothetical question, is it better for the parts to be sitting outside for hours in the winter cold, or in the spring wet (overhang to block rain)? |
