that only mattered before like 2000 or so, when expensive computers were shitty and would fail if you sneezed in the next room or your cat winked at them or something

look at it this way: UPS doesn't waste money heating their distribution centers, or their cargo planes, or the trucks your shit may sit in overnight, so it's not going to fucking kill them to be out all day

maybe if it's like 10 below on your porch and it's an ssd or a $300 cpu or a expensive new monitor, you'd let it get to room temp before you plugged it in, but I don't really see a problem with anything else. (those things because they have intricate, dense, solid parts and run at high temp from the first minute they get power, think of like throwing an ice cube in a cup of coffee)

there was one type of mac that had microfractures in the acrylic shell and if they get cold and then hot the cracks would get bigger, but you're not buying that thing so you're probably fine
