Being a decently comptetent user, and perfectly willing to do a fresh install of windows when the going gets rough, UAC sounds like more of a pain in the ass than its worth. I'm going to be rolling with NOD32 antivirus, Spybot, and the Windows firewall. Is there some bigger scarier risk I'm unaware of that disabling UAC would put me at risk for?
The most important antivirus tools are FF plugins like noscript/adblock/flashblock. |
