Don't just not pay tickets. by Fullofkittens 02/15/2012, 6:46pm PST In the past three years, both Mrs. oK and I have had trouble renewing our driver's licenses due to tickets we didn't know we had: -I had a parking ticket that I thought I had paid. -She got a ticket for failing to "deregister" her license plate with the State of New York when we moved out. In both cases, we had to spend a couple of hours on the phone with people in courthouses hundreds of miles away and then drive around for a week with no license while we got it taken care of. It's a big hassle.
